Although with everything on my plate, the last day was still a bitter sweet moment. This new experience widened my perspective of a career in Public Relations and gave me a better understanding of the roles associated with coordinating functions and marketing. It was a lot to handle, especially when I had to start going in twice the amount of times in order to complete the unit in time. But I wouldn’t change a thing, I made new friends and learnt important aspects of the field.

One of the skills I’ve learnt was developing the ability to not take comments and actions to heart. Sometimes the office can be a stressful place, especially when things aren’t going as planned. and in a small office stress acts like the plague, extremely contagious. Once one person has it then they pass it on to the next and all of a sudden people are in fits of rage almost breaking the touchpad on their computer because the damn thing won’t hurry up. Time management and prioritising are key factors for getting through stressful moments, a valuable lesson learnt that I have no doubt I will need to implement again.
